Playboy's Crystal Harris (photos below) and Hugh Hefner are getting married. Crystal Harris, the Playboy founder's girlfriend, is planning a wedding with the magazine mogul after Hef proposed to her over Christmas. For Harris it was a shock.

By January 2009, insiders saw Harris' role becoming closer to Hef. She wrote at the time on her MySpace page that she was a good girl "for the most part". But the notable remark from Harris came regarding a holiday update.

Hmm, I wonder what former Hugh Hefner girlfriend Holly Madison thinks about engagement? Holly put in quite the time to win Hef’s heart, but after putting too much marriage pressure on the Playboy CEO, Hef shied away from popping the question. And now just one year after dating Crystal Harris (Playboy photos here), he has made move to make Harris a part of his world permanently.

So what made Hef decide to make Harris his third wife? Love, apparently. If you recall, earlier this year Hef officially became a single man after his marriage from Kimberley Conrad became legally dissolved. It was back in 1959 that Hef throw some big fat divorce papers at his first wife Mildred Williams.

And now, after many of us thought that Holly would be “the one”, Hef goes and shocks us with an engagement to Harris.

The proof is in the puddin’…or in this case, the bling. Via his Twitter account, Hef announced the news stating, “After the movie tonight, Crystal & I exchanged gifts. I gave Crystal a ring. A truly memorable Christmas Eve.”
